I cannot begin to tell you how excited I am for Christmas break! I plan to spend the next week spending time with family, catching up with friends, getting plenty of R&R and maybe even squeezing in a little getaway. The holiday season can often be a hectic time of year attending Christmas parties, church festivities and even last minute shopping for gifts (hello, Christmas is three days away!), so I always like to reach for an outfit that’s easy to put together. The less I have to think about what I’m going to wear, the better.
A simple black sweater dress is perfect for any occasion, even the holidays. It’s just like a classic LBD, that you can never go wrong with. If I want to dress up the simplicity of this dress, I’ll just add a statement belt and over-the-knee boots and voilà, I’ve elevated the look. Plus, by adding a belt, it cinches my waist, making the dress more figure flattering. If I’m wanting to go for a more casual look, I’ll pair this with tan booties instead and wear without a belt. The black sweater dress is so versatile and works for numerous occasions.
